SKI BIZ SUMMER OUTDOORS is now supplying gear to visitors in the Tongariro National Park through the summer months,

No - not skis

but Tramping and Camping Equipment

We have set our shop up with a great range of Raincoats from

Marmot, Gondwana and Rainbird, plus there is a selection of backpacks, tramping packs, hiking boots, sleeping bags, gas cookers, gas cartridges, cooking utensils, back country food, hiking poles, sunglasses, and heaps of other nic-nacks for the outdoors.

Plus we have rental gear - Hiking boots, raincoats, overtrous, back packs, sleeping bags, cooking utensils and hiking poles.

 

So, if you're in the Central Plateau over summer doing some of our great walks like "The Tongariro Alpine Crossing", "The Tongariro Northern Circuit", "Round the Mountain Track", or even our local township walk to "Tupapakurua Falls" we can supply you with the gear to make your day a complete success.

    Project Tongariro in the central North Island has launched New Zealand’s first interactive smartphone application for a National Park – just in time for the busy summer walking season.

    Called the Pocket Ranger, the free to download app is designed to offer an interactive and multi-media experience that provides interpretation, maps and images of the unique natural features of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing while at the same time conveys important safety messages.
